The SSN Opioid Use Disorder oriented fundraiser in 2023 platforms seminal researched-based information and practicum for the: concerned and impacted general public, clinical organizations administrators, judicial and law enforcement staff, municipal and state health department leaders, and outreach professionals, community advocacies, OUD impacted families and patient organizations needing new collaborated tech support partners in grant and funded program areas. It is the most priceless one-hour and direct contribution opportunity spent with advanced professionals in the nation, in the multifaceted addiction healthcare and related fields.
This is the third year of the annual effort of the volunteer organization to raise money to continue to disseminate critically important education materials to national information outlets and OUD professional conferences (AATOD, NADCP, RISE23) related to all aspects of the opioid addiction and overdose epidemic exacerbated by the COVID19 pandemic.
STOP STIGMA NOW, Inc. (SSN) is a diverse group of new and seasoned professionals affiliated with opioid use disorder (OUD) research, treatment, health science education, family and client advocates, and people with lived experience and their families, dedicated to ending the harmful stigma affecting medication treatment of people with OUD. The broad range of experiences and expertise of the organization makes it a power and sought out non-profit servicing government agencies, clinical organizations, educational departments, patient care professionals and independent advocates and OUD patient families. The depth of resource of SSN covers experiences with today’s fentanyl and co-co-occurring addictions to professionals who have worked with research and treatment pioneers, Dr’s Vincent Dole, Maria Nyswander and Mary Jeanne Kreek, the developers of the first effective OUD medication treatment in the late1960’s and early 1970’s.
Keynote Speaker Attorney Bob Kent is the principal of, Kent Strategic Advisors, LLC and the former General Counsel of the National Drug Counsel Policy Center (ONDCP). Kent Strategic Advisors, LLC is a team of dedicated leaders with extensive experience in the addiction system, who improve provider’s overall patient service visions, and organizational goals to maximize the provision of quality services, program efficiencies, efficacies, and sustainability.
The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). The ONDCP is part of the executive office of the President. It leads and coordinates the nation’s drug policy so that it improves the health and lives of the American people. ONDCP is responsible for the development and implementation of the National Drug Control Strategy and Budget. ONDCP coordinates across 19 federal agencies and oversees a $41 billion budget. It strategically initiates part of a whole-of-government approach to addressing addiction and the overdose epidemic. ONDCP also provides hundreds of millions of dollars to help communities stay healthy and safe through the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program and the Drug-Free Communities Program.
